Renewable Energy Conservation Tips

Renewable energy is the future of the world's power supply. By harnessing the energy that is naturally produced by the sun, the wind, by water and from geothermal heating, we can create a cleaner, more efficient and effective power grid designed to last. Here are some renewable energy conservation tips that you can implement into your daily life that can help offset or reduce your energy costs.

1.) Some utility companies already offer what's called "Green Power." This is electricity that is made through renewable energy sources. By buying green power electricity from your utility company, you'll be able to practice renewable energy conservation without taking on the cost of installing a solar power system in your home.
2.) If you own a swimming pool or outdoor Jacuzzi, use a solar pool heating system to help warm the water naturally. Solar pool systems are one of the most cost-effective means of renewable energy conservation.
3.) Replace your wired landscape lighting with solar powered lighting. These landscape lights are easy to install and maintain and are priced competitively.
4.) If you are building a new home, take into consideration adding a solar energy system. If you are in an area of strong sunlight, you may be able to generate enough electricity to satisfy your daily needs without requiring any power from the utility company. When this occurs, you can actually sell your over-generated electric back to the electric company at their current rate!

We are all responsible for making the changes necessary for cleaning up the planet. It will take years, possibly generations, before the changes can be implemented on a national scale. Until that time, if we each practiced our own forms of renewable energy conservation, we can facilitate a head start in the right direction.

The Importance Of Renewable Energy | What Does Renewable Energy Mean?

MrTrueBestFriend.com The Importance Of Renewable Energy Most individuals have innate drive on conserving energy. Truly, energy conservation can spell so many advantages on consumers. Energy conservation is a practice of reducing the amount of energy used while yielding a similar end use. If you are a consumer, you are likely to develop plans to save energy. The primary reason is for you to reduce energy expenses and promote environmental value. Industrial as well as commercial energy consumers want to maximize their profit. On a bigger scale, energy conservation is a factor of energy policy. Supply of energy will be lessened if the demand for it soars. This is where energy conservation becomes a big deal. Moreover, it is necessary to practice energy conservation when the same can be done. Further, it is also advisable to encourage energy conservation among consumers so as not to exhaust energy supply. The residential sector, which include private residences, apartments, dormitories, single-family homes and the like, also need to practice energy conservation/ n fact, one of the most efficient places to start energy conservation is right at your very home. According to statistics, home energy consumption averages 44 percent on space conditioning, 13 percent on water heating, 12 percent on lighting, 8 percent on refrigeration, 6 percent on home electronics, 5 percent on laundry appliances, 4 percent on kitchen appliances, and 8 percent on other uses. Imagine the savings that ...

    20% renewable energy by 2020

Raising the share of renewable energy from 8.5% to 20% in the overall energy consumption is a necessary contribution to the global fight against climate change and towards better control over our energy dependence. The various uses of renewable energy are examined: electricity through wind and hydraulic energies; electricity or heat through geothermal and solar energies; electricity, heat, and biofuel coming from biomass. The EU is a world leader in the use and deployment of technologies that exploit renewable energy sources, providing over 350.000 jobs and an annual turn-over of € 30 billion. Renewable energy. In one hour we get enough sunlight on the earth to power the planet for a year. The molecular design of new materials for efficient harvesting of photons from the sun is promising. But storing that energy requires the next generation of batteries: sustainable, safe, and high-energy. Alan Heeger, Lon Bell and Jean-Marie Tarason explore new ways to meet our energy needs.
